Q&A

Wotography?

It's pronounced "whoa-tography" (rhymes with photography). We hope for a "whoa!" reaction to all of our images. Like this —>   :O   Plus, we were able to secure our sweet 5-letter domain name (wotog.com), which is far better than a monstrosity like firstnamelastnamephotography.com. ;]

Currently, Wotography LLC is Austin Kurtz and Alicia Kurtz — a friendly husband-and-wife team based in Fresno, CA. Alicia is also an emergency medicine doctor "on the side". ;]

Do you have a studio?

No, we work exclusively "on location" (a place of your or our choosing). Frankly, we think studio photos are boring. Plus, not having a studio keeps our prices lower for our clients, which we hope you will appreciate. :]

How much for portraits and e-sessions (engagement sessions)?

Portrait sessions and e-sessions start at $200 for up to two hours of on-location photography. The session fee includes lightly retouched online proofs of all the best images (selected by us). Digital negatives (image files) and print products can added on in a customized package before or after your session. Please contact us for a detailed package/product menu.

How about weddings?

We offer wedding packages beginning at $2,400 for a minimum of eight hours of coverage. Please contact us for a detailed package/product menu. You can also view our recent wedding images here on our blog.

My venue wants to know — are you insured?

Yes, we are covered by $1 million of general liability insurance. We can provide your venue with a certificate of insurance upon request.

Can I use one of your images in our XYZ publication?

Most likely, but probably not for free. Please contact us to inquire about a particular image. Depending on the use, we may have to obtain a model release from the individuals in the image.

What camera should I buy?

Please see our Advice page for our opinions on this and other topics.
